Here are the ladies who tea, dressed up and ready.
I was going to leave Allie home with Chad, but when
she put her hat and shoes on and ran to the door, I
just didn't have the heart to not let her join us.
Sydney drew a picture of a freckle-faced girl,
inspired by a book called Freckle Face Strawberry.
She was taking it to give to Marlie at the tea party.
We went to Protea Cottage for the Mommy/Daugher/Grandma
Royal Tea at 4:00. Me and my girls, Sarah and Marlie, Nana,
and Mema attended this fancy affair.
Here's Marlie loving the picture Sydney made for her.
The little Red Hat ladies!
Nana was 100% in her element and couldn't
be happier, only a little cooler. It was hot in there!
But everything else was just perfect.
I could have taken pictures of Sydney in this red
hat all day.
I did take pictures of it, all tea party!
Just sipping and conversing like any proper lady.
It looked like she'd done this for decades.
Allie even enjoyed some tea. She was so well-mannered,
I never once wished I'd left her at home. What a lady!
She continued to sip her tea so very carefully, even
after her eyes were red and watery because it was
a little too hot. She was going to be one of the big
girls no matter what.
Picture poses...how could we not?!
I love how Marlie has her hand under her chin. So sweet!
This sure came out cute.
The girls had a wardrobe change before the food
even arrived. Who could blame them, with so many
beautiful dresses and hats to choose from?
I thought these pictures were sweet, of Mema
helping dress Sydney.
I love the peach hat with the golden dress!
Admiring their new looks...
Paper dolls. That's what these two looked like!
There's the classic Sydney pose right there.
One more, because it's just toooooo cute isn't it?
Allie soon wanted to do some dressing up herself.
I love the hat she chose!
There's no chance this one won't get framed and hung
in my house.
The food was so pretty and yummy! Nothing like
cucumber sandwiches, biscuits and jam, tiny cakes,
and chocolate-dipped strawberries on a summer
afternoon with your tea!
Everything was so pretty, I couldn't turn my
camera off.
Tea pots are the cutest. Especially on a window sill,
under some lacy curtains, full of fresh flowers.

that is just the cutest place ever! I can't believe how the girls looked all dressed up! lol Did they really drink real tea? Ally looks like a little doll in that hat! I love that one of sydney and marlie....they look like they are at a red hat ladies get together! lol So cute!
so cute! Did they have all those dress up clothes and hats there for them or did you bring?
THat was the cutest place ever! I wish I could have been there! Hannah would have had so much fun except she may have been a little to wild. what is so funny is that mom told dad that he had to go to a tea cottage and he refused, now that I see the pictures I bet he is so happy he didn't go!
OH and that picture of Sydney is so precious you should enlarge it and put it in a play area where they have tea parties at home.
Jennifer, that's a good idea! I will probably do that!
Kim -Allie had real tea, and the other girls had pink hot chocolate!
