The Life of Joy

Today is Allie's birthday. Sydney was busy all morning drawing pictures for her, like the one below with the two heads titled "You and Me". Then she told me she was going to write a poem for Allie, and I watched her do it all on her own. Her title was spelled right, but the rest just seemed like random letters. When she read the poem to me, I couldn't believe it. Her first, real poem! I looooooove it Lulu!

The Life of Joy

Please don't go-

never leave.

I'll find you the friend

you need.

Wow! She wrote that all by herself? That is amazing!

Cute! You should frame it and write the translation next to it. Is Sydney the friend? Did you ask her what it meant?

Oh my gosh that is the SWEETEST thing I have ever heard! What a gift for her sister. It sounds like Sydney just might take after her Mama with the writing.

Happy Birthday Rosie!!! We wish we were with you today! Kisses and hugs from the Flood family!

Happy Birthday little Rosie Posie! I wish we could have been there to help you blow out your candles on your birthday cake! I can't believe Sydie wrote that! She is so proud of her beautiful art! What a cute poem she wrote for her sister. Deann you have to keep that forever! Then in 30 years Sydie can surprise Rosie on her birthday!
Love,
Kim

Happy Birthday Allie! I wish we all lived closer so we could be at birthday parties for each other. It makes me sad...ok can't think about it. I hope she had a fun birthday and I cannot believe Sydney wrote that! She must have a talent for writing!
