clothes for baby girl, a.k.a Peaches

I could NOT resist these onesies for baby girl! It's like they were custom made just for me! Had to have 'em. Makes me flirt with the idea of naming our new lady Daisy, even more.

Allie named her Peaches. It's almost irresistible to say, and sounds so sweet from Allie's lips. So until she's officially given a name, we'll be referring to her as Peaches. :)

Sydney wants to call her Mae. Jack thinks "little Jack" would be good.

These are the real names we're considering:

Maelie (May-lee) French name, meaning princess. I love that it's original but not weird. And Chad likes it! Only problem is, I think it might be a little too similar in sound to Allie. And it doesn't go with Daisy for middle name, which I kinda have my heart set on. Maelie Daisy, makes me dizzy.

Daisy We both really like this name and considered it for Allie. Problem is, we like it better for a nickname or middle name. Not sure we should tag her with this cutsie flower name for life. But it makes me happy to hear or say it. It just feels right. And it makes me think of The Great Gatsby! Daisy Faye Hecker. I like!

Laurel I love the sound of it, and love tree names! I also love Hazel, but Hazel Hecker? No no no no. Laurel reminds me of Hazel. And it's pretty like Lorelei, a name I like, but....Gilmore Girls. I don't want to do a TV name.

Genevieve Always has been my favorite name. I love it because of the movie Camelot, when Guinevere sings to St. Genevieve in the forest! But it is medieval/royal sounding, a bit of a mouthful to say...and Chad REALLY does not like. Love all the fun little girl nicknames we could shorten it to, like Vivi, or Eve. But I have to admit, for as much as I love this name, it just doesn't feel right. At least not right now.

Faye I love it. French, fairy or elf! Almost a definite middle name.

Mae Daisy Solves the problem with Daisy because she can always be Mae, which I like too. BUT it's a character from a musical I was in as a kid, Lil' Abner, Daisy Mae! So I don't know...

See, we clearly need help. Or this baby might be Peaches forever! ;)

Suggestions/feedback/thoughts??? How would you like your name to be Daisy? Would you hate your mom forever?

Wow, I haven't blogged for months, and suddenly have 3 blogs posts done in one week, 2 in one day!

Well, this will be long. I love those onsies! Almost temps me to find out what baby E is. They were made just for you. You have always loved daisies. That is why I love that name for you guys. I think I would really like having that name. It's very feminine. I like the way Daisy Faye sounds. It's so pretty! I also love the name Laurel. I tried using that for our baby E, but I was quickly shut down. I like Maelie too, but for me I like the others a bit more. It's such a big decision what to name your baby. I keep thinking about our names we have chosen and hope we've picked the right ones.

Deann, I love all the new posts! The onsies are adorable and so spring! I love the thought process behind your name picking! I have to say I do love maelie but I can see the dizziness of maelie daisy. Though maelie could be shortened to mae. Kind of incorperating two names you like! Too bad Chad nixed Genevieve cause I do love that as well! And I love all the nicknames she could have!

Daisy Faye is so cute and whimsical! I don't think any of your children could EVER hate your or Chad! You guys are too awesome at being parents!

Sorry for the overly long comment! I know you guys will pick the perfect name!

Because Sydney, Jack and Allie are all perfection!

I like Daisy Faye so it gets my vote. Maelie sounds too much like Miley as in Cyrus. Plus she will be spelling it for everyone. I'm sure whatever name you pick will be great. Make sure it will be easy for this little to say.

I love all these names Deanne! You never see a girl named Daisy, so her name would be different, I agree with Megan by inc. Maelie cause you could call her Mae which you like. And Laurel is such an adorable name as well. This is why we have 9 months to prepare the baby, you will pick the name that is right but I personally like them all!
