And the Oscar goes to....my very own niece...

MARLIE JEAN!

Saturday we got to witness the star we always knew she was born to be!
Miss Marlie Armes (see Oscar in hand for "knowing more of the play than the director") lit up the stage. It was an Oscar-worthy performance for sure! The play was a musical called "The Little Mermaid and The Pirates of the Carribean". Marlie was a jellyfish, a goldfish, and a flower.

Sydney got to experience being the adoring fan this time. I was happy that she was gracious about not being the star, and seemed truly happy for Marlie. She really enjoyed the play, watched intently the entire time, and acted it out with her puppets the next day!

Proud parents!

The following live action pictures have not been edited because I don't have Photoshop yet. But you can click to enlarge and see a little closer. Below is Marlie making her grand entrance! She had a few lines that she spoke loudly and clearly. And she was the one of the only actors to elicit big laughs from the audience by her charm.

Deann, those pictures are so cute! You are so right, Marlie was born to be a star. I don't doubt that she made the audience laugh!
